That's 6 out of 9 supreme court Justices that are Roman Catholic!

Taken from the Unhived Mind Forum is the following:

QUOTE
President Barack Obama nominated Judge Sotomayor for appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court to replace retiring Justice David Souter

The press only focussed on the fact that Sotomayor would be the first Hispanic Supreme Court justice in history and on the Democratic/Republican balance in the Supreme Court. Because of the Hispanic background I had the instant suspicion that she could be Roman-Catholic then. Turned out to be true.

David Souter is Episcopalian. So this is definitely shifting the balance of power a bit further. I think I saw the confessional distribution in the Supreme Court recently. I have to find this again.

Sonia was raised a Catholic[1] and grew up among other Puerto Ricans who settled in the East Bronx.

Sotomayor graduated as valedictorian of her class at Blessed Sacrament and at Cardinal Spellman High School in New York.

Hispanics are the fastest-growing part of the population and increasingly active politically.

Thus increasing Roman-Catholic political influence?

QUOTE
President Obama has nominated a liberal judicial activist who has already publicly stated she intends to judge cases based on her PERSONAL feelings, not the law. This unprecedented admission means that she’ll be making decisions based on her left-wing policy preferences instead of neutrally applying the law.

Or based on the orders of a foreign power?
